The Pride of Rajputs:
Maharaja Hari Singh, the last ruling Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir (1895-1961). The Civil list of 1945 records 16 honours and medals he received for his outstanding service to the country.

Dhyan Chand(1905 - 1979), former Indian field hockey captain. India's highest award for lifetime achievement in sports is the Dhyan Chand Award.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, captain of the Indian national cricket team. Dhoni ranks 52nd in the "Time 100" list of most influential people of 2011.

Amir Khan, the professional boxer is a Rajput. He is the first Punjabi boxing champion to win a silver at the 2004 Athens Olympics at the age of 17.

Vishwanath Pratap Singh(1931 - 2008), the 8th Prime Minister of India, former Finance Minister of India, also served as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. He was known for trying to improve the fortunes of India's lower castes in his short term as Prime Minister.

Ram Gopal, the Indian dancer and choreographer is a Rajput. He is known for his productions, Legend of the Taj Mahal, Dance of the Setting Sun and Dances of India.
