We are popularly referred to as the valiant warriors of the Indian subcontinent. Rulers from our martial race are known for their valour and chivalry. Rajput, which has its origin in the Sanskrit word 'rajaputra' means 'son of a king'.

A member of the Hindu warrior (Kshatriya) class we are known for our valour and enjoy a reputation as formidable soldiers. Many of us serve in the Indian army as during the British raj, the government recruited us in large numbers.
